Unlike online cross-border shopping, where consumers can select products merely from pictures, and traditional duty-free stores, which feature narrow product selections and cumbersome procedures, the front-store, back-warehouse model connects online platforms with offline retail displays. Travelers can visit the outlet to see products in person, scan QR codes to place orders, and have their purchases quickly cleared and delivered via bonded warehouses - all while waiting for their flights. The model enables consumers to buy authentic, competitively priced imported goods worldwide without going abroad.
