On July 21, the State Council Information Office held a press conference, outlining progress to accelerate work to build China into a transport powerhouse and foster a modern comprehensive transport system. The Civil Aviation Administration of China disclosed at the event that 6 Chinese airports, including Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, made the world's top 30 list by cargo throughput in 2025.

7月21日，国务院新闻办公室举行“开局起步‘十五五’”系列主题新闻发布会，介绍加快建设交通强国、完善现代化综合交通运输体系有关情况。中国民航局在会上披露，2025年，郑州新郑国际机场、上海浦东国际机场等6家境内机场跻身全球货运前30强。

In recent years, Zhengzhou airport has continued to climb global cargo rankings, notching consistent upward gains. It stood 44th worldwide in 2023, jumped to 36th in 2024, and broke into the global top 30 in 2025. The airport has climbed more than 14 places in just 3 years, hitting its highest-ever global ranking since its opening.
