China's Two Sessions | The world looks to China
When an American young man, Ye Fengguang, becomes a "son-in-law" in Henan, a Ugandan friend spends five years studying in China with the dream of building roads back home, and Russian entrepreneur Sergey sells Chinese products to the world from China, people across the globe are quite literally voting with their feet, setting off on spontaneous journeys to explore the country. As the world looks to China, it is also turning its gaze toward the Central Plains, toward Henan province. From the humble three-wheeled "sanbengzi" becoming an overseas online sensation, to Chinese-standard tunnel-boring machines carving their way beneath the Alps; from the solid footprint of Belt and Road cooperation across Africa, to sweeping policies such as visa-free access for travelers from 50 countries and zero tariffs for African exports. China is no longer merely the "world's factory." It is increasingly becoming the world's marketplace. A resilient, warm, and dynamic China is moving forward—hand in hand with the rest of the world.
