In recent days, the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) paper-cut costume shows have been particularly eye-catching on the New Year-themed stages in Sanmenxia, central China's Henan province. This program cleverly integrates Sanmenxia's local paper-cutting craftsmanship with dynamic fashion shows. With great ingenuity, the paper-cut artists have transformed the geometric patterns and bird totems of Yangshao painted pottery, as well as the vivid postures of swans in the Yellow River wetlands, into exquisite decorations on cheongsams.
