Lankao Yellow River wetlands transform into a 'Migratory Bird International Airport'
On December 25, flocks of gray cranes alighted and soared gracefully above the Yellow River wetlands in Lankao, weaving a vibrant winter tapestry.
Beyond the celebrated gray cranes, the wetlands are also home to first-class nationally protected species such as the great bustard and black stork, as well as second-class protected species including swans and white-faced spoonbills, making it a true haven for migratory birds.
Bar-headed geese, herons, cormorants, and more - wave upon wave of birds soar and swirl over the Yellow River, composing a winter ecological symphony life! They are expected to head north gradually in late March through early April next year.
