When discussing the topic of Henan enterprises "overseas expansion", Sun Yaozhong, Party Committee Secretary, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Feilong Auto Components Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Feilong), expressed his firm view. In his opinion, expanding overseas is Feilong's must-answer question.

当谈起河南企业“走出去”的话题时,飞龙汽车部件股份有限公司(以下简称飞龙股份)党委书记、副董事长、总经理孙耀忠道出他的坚定看法。在他看来,出海是飞龙股份的必答题。

From the establishment of the International Trade Department in 2004 to the deep cultivation of the Southeast Asian market since 2023, Feilong has continuously expanded its global business scale. Today, Feilong boosts more than 200 major domestic and international customers, serving over 300 manufacturing bases worldwide.

从2004年组建国际贸易部,再到2023年开始深度布局东南亚地区,飞龙股份持续扩大全球化业务规模。如今,飞龙股份拥有国内外主要客户超200家,同时服务全球超300个基地工厂。

Following Chinese automakers' strides into the global market, Feilong has achieved a leap from product export to industrial export.

Before accepting the reporter's interview, Sun had just returned to the company's headquarters in Xixia County, Nanyang City, from the production base in Thailand. "Now I spend half of each month on the front lines of production and the market, so that I can have a specific perception of the overall situation," Sun told the reporter. He added that the current situation at home and abroad was changing rapidly, and only by going deep into the frontlines could we respond in a timely and scientific manner.

接受记者采访前,孙耀忠刚刚从泰国生产基地返回南阳西峡总部。“我现在每个月有一半时间奔走在生产、市场一线,这样才能对整体状况有具体感知。”孙耀忠告诉记者,目前国内外形势变化很快,深入一线才能及时科学应对。

The predecessor of Feilon was Xixia Auto Water Pump Factory (XAWPF). In October 2002, after Henan Wanxi Holding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Wanxi) had been restructuring XAWPF for over a year, Sun, who was then responsible for Wanxi's pharmaceutical market department, was tasked with taking charge of the daily management operations at this pump factory.

飞龙股份前身是西峡汽车水泵厂。2002年10月,河南省宛西控股股份有限公司(以下简称宛西控股)重整西峡汽车水泵厂一年有余,当时还负责宛西控股医药市场部门的孙耀忠临危受命,被安排到西峡汽车水泵厂主持日常管理工作。

Sun recalled that when Wanxi first took over XAWPF, the situation was extremely difficult, with liabilities exceeding assets. It gradually improved after restructuring, but lacked management personnel to coordinate various tasks. After assuming his post, he spent more than a month conducting research, identified ten major problems in the overall operation of the factory, and proposed corresponding solutions, including "Two Focuses" and "Two Innovations": focusing on the passenger vehicle market and export trade, and promoting management innovation and technological innovation. 

孙耀忠回忆,宛西控股刚接手西峡汽车水泵厂时,厂里情况非常困难,资不抵债,经过重整逐渐有起色,但缺乏管理人员做好各项统筹工作,他上任后花了一个多月时间进行调研,发现了工厂整体经营的十大问题,并给出了相应的解决方案,其中包括“两抓”“两创”:抓乘用车市场、抓出口贸易,管理创新、科技创新。

Looking back with the current perspective, Sun's move to focus on export trade was very foresighted, but the primary problem at that time was to address uncertainty. In 2001, China joined the WTO, and the stage of the international market was laid out for every Chinese enterprise. In the auto parts industry, the markets for joint-venture and imported vehicles were particularly enticing, and whether Chinese auto parts enterprises could successfully enter the supply chain of foreign-funded auto enterprises became a test they needed to face. Consequently, Feilong took the opportunity to establish the International Trade Department in 2004. 

以现在的眼光回头看,孙耀忠抓出口贸易的举措很有远见,但在当时首要问题是解决不确定性。2001年,我国加入WTO,国际大市场的舞台摆在了每一家中国企业面前。而在汽车零部件行业,合资车、进口车的市场更加诱人,能否顺利进入外资车企供应链是我国汽车零部件企业需要面临的考验。于是,2004年飞龙股份顺势成立国际贸易部。

After years of development, Feilong has successively set up five offices and nine overseas warehouses in such locations as the United States, Germany, and Poland, and has been identified as a strategic partner and excellent supplier by customers such as BorgWarner and Cummins. However, in 2018, changes occurred in the international trade situation, which took a toll on Feilong's international business, making it imminent for production to "expand overseas".

经过多年发展,飞龙股份相继在美国、德国、波兰等地设立了5个办事处,9个海外仓,被博格华纳、康明斯等客户确定为战略合作伙伴、优秀供应商。然而,到了2018年,国际贸易形势出现变化,飞龙股份国际业务受到影响,生产“走出去”迫在眉睫。

In May 2023, Feilong established Feilong International Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Feilong International) in Singapore. In December of the same year, it established Longtai Auto Components (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Longtai) in Thailand. Hence, Feilong has completed the upgrade from product export to industrial export, laying a foundation for its global strategy.

2023年5月,飞龙股份在新加坡设立飞龙国际私营有限公司(以下简称飞龙国际);同年12月,在泰国设立龙泰汽车部件(泰国)有限公司(以下简称龙泰公司)。至此,飞龙股份完成从产品出海到产业出海的升级,为全球化战略奠定了基础。

Singapore is a major global hub for trade, finance, and shipping in the Asia-Pacific region. In recent years, enterprises from various countries have been establishing regional headquarters in Singapore, taking it as a gateway to enter the Southeast Asian and even Asia-Pacific markets. Thailand is located in the center of ASEAN with obvious geographical advantages. New energy vehicles are one of the target industries prioritized by the Thai government for development, and many Chinese auto companies have invested in Thailand. 

新加坡是亚太地区重要的世界贸易、金融、航运中心。近年来,各国企业纷纷来新设立区域总部,以新加坡为枢纽进入东南亚乃至亚太市场。泰国位于东盟中心位置,区位优势明显,新型汽车是泰国政府重点发展的目标产业之一,已有多家中国车企赴泰投资。

For Feilong, the layouts in Singapore and Thailand have different strategic considerations. Sun introduced that Singapore, as an international financial and trade center, offers a sound business environment and free trade port policy advantages, which are conducive to the company's international financing and trade settlements. Thailand possesses a mature auto industry cluster, abundant labor resources and strong policy support. In the first half of 2025, Feilong's total overseas sales accounted for over 50% of its revenue.

对飞龙股份而言,布局新加坡和泰国有着不同的战略考量。孙耀忠介绍,新加坡是国际金融和贸易中心,具备良好的营商环境、自贸港政策优势,有利于公司开展国际融资与贸易结算;泰国具备成熟的汽车产业集群,劳动力资源丰富,政策支持力度大。2025年上半年,飞龙股份的国外销售额合计占比超50%。

However, Longtai, as a production base, faces numerous challenges in its overseas expansion. "Three major challenges—supply chain, talent and compliance—will determine whether the Thai factory can move from 'completed construction' to 'stable production'. Feilong will gradually solve the localization difficulties through the method of 'Chinese Experience + Local Integration'," Sun stated.

From the establishment of the International Trade Department in 2004 to the deep cultivation of the Southeast Asian market since 2023, Feilong has continuously expanded its global business scale.
