Recently, the 2025 ASEAN-China (Henan) Cooperation and Development Conference on Food and Agriculture and The 4th Belt and Road (Henan) International Agricultural Cooperation Expo grandly opened at Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. As an important window for the Henan agricultural sector to open up to the world, the event brought together industry experts and corporate representatives to explore new opportunities and pathways for grain and agricultural cooperation.

With the theme "Digital and Intelligent Empowerment of Grain and Agriculture Cooperation, Innovation-Driven Regional Development," the conference featured a variety of activities and exhibition sections. Across nearly 30,000 square meters of exhibition space, specialized pavilions were arranged in an orderly manner, with dedicated areas for agricultural machinery, smart agriculture, and other fields showcasing cutting-edge industry achievements. Five thematic sections precisely addressed the needs of core areas such as the grain and oil industry and agricultural product trade.

The confidence behind this grand event stems from Henan's robust agricultural strength. As the "Granary of Central China," Henan consistently maintains an annual grain output of over 65 million tons, accounting for one-tenth of the country's total production. Each year, the province transfers more than 30 million tons of raw grain and processed products, serving as a solid "ballast stone" for national food security. Henan leads the nation in wheat production and seed breeding, and in 2024, the total output value of its farming, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery sectors reached 1.06 trillion yuan, ranking second in the country.

Henan's agricultural advantages are reflected not only in output but also in high-quality development and achievements in opening up. The province's agricultural exports have ranked among the top ten in China for five consecutive years, with "High-Quality Henan Agricultural Products" being sold to destinations around the world. This marks a steady transition from serving as the "Nation's Kitchen" to the "World's Dining Table." The widespread application of technologies such as smart agricultural machinery and Beidou navigation has deeply integrated ancient farming practices with modern technology, injecting strong momentum into agricultural modernization.

Through this conference, corporate cooperation intentions were directly translated into tangible development outcomes, and achievements across the entire industry chain were seamlessly aligned. Leveraging the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative and ASEAN cooperation, Henan is using this event as a platform to accelerate the construction of a strong agricultural province, extending the influence of Henan agriculture even further.
