From October 15 to 17, China International Software Expo(CISE) - the largest and most influential professional event in China's software and information technology service sector - was held in Zhengzhou city, Henan province, China, for the first time. At the Henan Comprehensive Exhibition Area, local enterprises such as XFusion, Cocyber, Duoguan Group, 863 Software and Hanwei Electronics Group made a collective appearance, demonstrating Zhengzhou's solid strength in the software industry.

Software is the soul of the new generation of information technology and the foundation for the development of the digital economy, with importance no less than that of hardware like chips. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's domestic industrial software achieved a historic leap from the "bottleneck"predicament to independent innovation. At the expo, Zhengzhou, a late comer in the software industry, has been highly expected by industry insiders to become a "new growth pole forsoftware industry development". This expectation stems from Zhengzhou's accelerated layout in new tracks such as computing power, artificial intelligence, digital economy and blockchain, from the leadership of industry champions and segmented breakthroughs, and from the increasingly improved industrial ecology.

As of now, Zhengzhou boasts more than 40,000 software enterprises, including 494 large-scale software enterprises, with an industrial scale exceeding 130 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 90% of Henan province's total. It has gathered a large number of universities and research institutes, with 1.5 million college and vocational school students and over 30,000 software graduates every year. Leading domestic software companies such as Huawei, Inspur and Qi-Anxin have settled in Zhengzhou, while local enterprises like Sinosteel Netand Time-space Tunnel (UU Paotui) have ranked among the top 100 competitive software and IT service companies in China... These facts are vivid proof that Zhengzhou, a city of innovation, is in its prime.

Looking back along the timeline, since the "14th Five-Year Plan", Zhengzhou has been painting a new picture of innovation-driven development with innovation as its ink and hard work as its brush.

Zhengzhou, a city of innovation in its prime, is witnessing the metabolism of its industrial structure. On Longzihu WisdomIsland, a "cloud-based" software industrial park is emerging. In just three years, more than 800 software enterprises have been gathered here. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Zhengzhou broke away from path dependence, made every effort in building a modern industrial system supported by six leading industries including electronic information, automobiles and equipment manufacturing. The software and IT service industry emerged as a standout, becoming a shining star in Zhengzhou's industrial map.

Zhengzhou, a city of innovation in its prime, is seeing the vigorous growth of innovation entities. In Zhengzhou National High & New Technology Industries Development Zone, Hanwei Electronics Group has grown from a small sensor enterprise to a hidden champion in China's gas sensor field, with its products widely used in international events such as Beijing Winter Olympics and Hangzhou Asian Games. In Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, the self-driving bus "Xiaoyu" launched by Yutong Bus has been put into operation in more than 50 cities across China, becoming a bright business card for smart travel. During the "14th Five-Year Plan"
period, the number of high-tech enterprises in Zhengzhou achieved leapfrog growth, with the booming innovation entities becoming the most active cells in the economic body, infusing a steady stream of development momentum into the city.

Zhengzhou, a city of innovation in its prime, is achieving continuous optimization of its innovation ecosystem. Innovation is not an isolated spark but a systematic project. Zhengzhou has planned a scientific and technological innovation spatial layoutof "one belt leading, two wings driving, four districts supporting and multiple points linking", and is sparing noeffortsto build a national regional sci-tech innovation center. It has introduced top talents through the "case-by-case review" policy, accelerated the gathering of first-class leading talents, and vigorously attracted and reserved young talents. Over the pastthree years, more than 720,000 university graduates and other young talents have settled down in Zhengzhou. It has built a "City Brain" to make urban governance more refined and intelligent, and created the "Zhenghaoban" APP to realize the "one-stop" government service... During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, with its open and inclusive talent policies and dynamic development platforms, Zhengzhou has built a magnetic field for talentaggregation, bringing in more outstanding talents. Its"first resources" have become more substantial, and its"first driving forces" have grown stronger.

Cities are important carriers for modernization. Zhengzhou, with an economic scale exceeding one trillion yuan, achieved a GDP of 732.93 billion yuan in the first half of this year, accounting for 23.1% of Henan's total economy. It shoulders the mission of "taking the lead and walking ahead" in Henan's high-quality development. 10月15日至17日，我国软件与信息技术服务领域规模最大、最具影响力的专业盛会——中国国际软件博览会，首次在郑州举办。在博览会的河南省综合展区，超聚变、众诚科技、夺冠集团、八六三软件、汉威科技等河南本土企业集体亮相，展现郑州软件产业硬实力。

截至目前，郑州市拥有软件企业4万多家，规模以上软件企业494家，产业规模超1300亿元，在全省占比接近90%；集聚大批高校和科研院所，在校大中专学生150万人，每年软件专业毕业大学生超3万人。华为、浪潮、奇安信等国内软件龙头企业进驻，中钢网、时空隧道等本土企业跻身全国软件和信息技术服务竞争力百强企业……一个个事实是创新郑州正青春的生动注脚。

创新的郑州正青春，是产业结构的新陈代谢。龙子湖智慧岛上，一座“云”上软件产业园正在崛起，短短3年，这里已集聚软件类企业超过800家。“十四五”期间，郑州大胆打破路径依赖，全力构建以电子信息、汽车、装备制造等六大主导产业为支撑的现代产业体系，软件与信息技术服务业异军突起，成为郑州产业版图上的耀眼新星。
