The fertile land of Henan is a precious gift from nature to the Central Plains, and it is the core foundation that enables Henan to firmly hold its position as the "Granary of Central China". With its unique conditions, scientific and robust protection, and impressive production outcomes, this land has become a critical force in safeguarding the nation's food security.

In terms of natural conditions, Henan's advantages are evident. Most of the region is located in the warm temperate zone, with its southern part extending into the subtropical zone. The continental monsoon climate brings distinct seasons, with rain and heat occurring simultaneously, providing an ideal environment for crop growth with suitable temperatures, precipitation, and sunlight. The fertile land of Henan lays a solid foundation for agricultural production, enabling the robust growth of northern wheat and corn, the fragrant abundance of southern rice, and the thriving cultivation of various crops.

In the protection of arable land, Henan has taken solid actions. The province has thoroughly implemented the strategy of "storing grain in the land and technology," having already built over 85 million mu of high-standard farmland and initiating the construction of 15 million mu of high-standard farmland demonstration zones, with an average investment of more than 4,000 yuan per mu. Meanwhile, the government has emphasized strengthening farmland protection and continuously improving farmland quality, ensuring that Henan's fertile land remains vibrant and solidifies the foundation of food security.

The outcomes in grain production are particularly impressive. Henan uses nearly 6% of the nation's arable land to produce nearly 10% of the country's grain. The total grain output has exceeded 130 billion jin for eight consecutive years, with over 60 billion jin of raw grain and processed products transferred out of the province annually. This makes Henan a "ballast stone" for national food security.

The fertile land of Henan carries the richness of millennia of civilization and supports the dream of rural revitalization. It has witnessed the gifts of nature, experienced meticulous protection, and nurtured abundant harvests. In the future, this land will continue to leverage its advantages, contributing even more to the stability of the "Granary of Central China" and the safeguarding of the nation's food security.
