August 29, 2025, or the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, marks China's traditional Qixi Festival, often called China's Valentine's Day. At Kaifeng's Millennium City Park, a Song Dynasty-style group wedding is staged, showcasing the joy and charm of traditional Chinese customs.

2025年8月29日，农历七月初七，是中国传统节日七夕节。在开封清明上河园景区，一场热闹喜庆的宋制集体婚礼正在举行，让前来游玩的游客深切感受到了中华传统习俗的喜庆氛围。

On this day, six couples, dressed in Song Dynasty attire, followed traditional rituals to partake in a grand wedding ceremony.

当日，6对新人身着宋代华服，以古礼为媒，共赴一场盛世之约。

The banks of the Bianhe River are thronged with visitors, as oars dip gently into the picturesque waters. Several elaborately decorated boats, adorned with carved railings, floral windows, and red silk, carry the newlyweds in pairs. Amid weeping willows and the blessings of thousands of onlookers, the couples sail on, surrounded by blessings.

汴河两岸游客如潮，橹在画中摇。几艘雕栏花窗、红绸装饰的画舫，载着成双成对的新人，在垂柳依依的汴河中，带着上万名游客的祝福，驶向幸福的远方。

Beneath the Hongqiao Bridge, rose petals cascade like gentle rain, creating a romantic and heartwarming scene.

虹桥之下，玫瑰花瓣如雨纷飞，仿佛一帘幽梦，十里柔情漫洒。

At Jinshui Gate Pier, six couples disembark and make their way toward the Shangshan Gate. With a romance spanning one thousand years, the grand wedding ceremony is about to begin!

在金水门码头，6对新人下船，向上善门走去，彷佛穿越千年。婚礼大典即将拉开序幕！

The wedding ceremony faithfully follows Song Dynasty rituals, from the solemn bows to heaven and earth (a traditional ritual acknowledging heaven, earth, and ancestors) to the heartfelt sharing of wedding wine. Every detail shows reverence for tradition and cultural heritage. Led by the ceremonial officiant, the couples bow to each other with reverence and vow to share a lifetime together. As their wine cups gently touch, two hearts are joined as one, a symbol of eternal unity and lifelong commitment.

婚礼仪式严格遵循宋代礼制，从庄严的拜天地到深情的合卺之礼，每一个细节都彰显出对传统文化的尊重与传承。在赞礼官的庄重引领下，新人们行夫妻交拜之礼，许下相守一生的誓言。合卺酒杯轻轻一碰，象征两颗心紧紧相连，寓意永不分离、白头偕老。

As the highlight of the Qixi Festival celebrations at Millennium City Park, the "Grand Song Dynasty Wedding" not only allows newlyweds to experience the charm of ancient wedding traditions, but also brings visitors a celebration that is both visually impressive and deeply moving.
