Yutong signs record 400-unit new energy bus order in Pakistan

On August 1, 2025, Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. annonced that it recently held a launch event in Lahore, Pakistan, where the company officially unveiled its new energy technologies, DMT and YEA. The event also featured the presentation offour keymodels: H9, H12, E9, and E12PRO. In addition, Yutong introduced its upgraded service brand, EnRoute +. During the event, the company signed a procurement agreement with its Pakistani partner, WIL, for 400 electric buses. This marks Pakistan's largest-ever order for new energy buses, the largest segment-specific bus order, and the largest commercial vehicle order, setting "three records" in the country's history.

Robin Shen, CEO of Yutong Bus's Middle East Division, said that since entering the Pakistani market in 2008, Yutong has delivered more than 3,000 buses—including fuel-powered, hybrid, and fully electric models—capturing over 70% of the premium segment for passenger transport. He added that this 400-unit order is a result of the company's deep understanding of the local market and its ongoing commitment to technological innovation.
