China reports 5.3% GDP growth in H1

China's gross domestic product expanded by 5.3 percent to 66.05 trillion yuan in the first half of 2025, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday.
China's retail sales increased 4.8 percent year-on-year in June, the NBS said.
China's value-added industrial output, an important economic indicator, increased 6.8 percent year-on-year in June, the NBS said.
