甲骨文“五”目前看来很可能源自原始社会约定俗成的记数符号，且有繁、简两种形态。简体的“五”为两条斜向交错的线，繁体则是在简体的上下方各加一条横线。
The oracle bone script form of the character "五"(wǔ) likely originated from a conventional counting symbol used in primitive society. It appears in two forms: simplified and complex. The simplified form comprises two intersecting diagonal lines, while the complex form features an additional horizontal line above and below the simplified structure.
