甲骨文“果”字，像是一棵 树 上 结 着 果 实 的 样 子 。“果”字的本义，指树木结的果实，后来泛指所有植物结的果实。
The oracle bone script form of the character "果" (guǒ) resembles a tree with fruits. Originally, "果" referred to the fruits of trees, but it later came to mean the fruits of all plants.
