On February 2, 2025, the Federation of Henan Chamber of Commerce Australia hosted a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration at Brickworks Burwood Shopping Centre in southeast Melbourne. The event featured energetic dragon and lion dances and a graceful Hanfu (a traditional Chinese garment) performance, drawing a large crowd of Chinese and local residents.

One of the standout performances was the Hanfu showcase by young Chinese members of a Hanfu Society. Dressed in traditional attire, they revived the beauty of Tang and Song dynasty clothing through flowing movements. A Jin, the leader of the Hanfu Society and a native of Luoyang city, Henan province, expressed her hope to promote the essence of Chinese etiquette and aesthetics through Hanfu, allowing Chinese culture to shine abroad. The event also featured a red envelope giveaway, symbolizing good fortune in the new year, which further enhanced the festive atmosphere and engaged enthusiastic participants.

The celebration received support from the Federation of Henan Chamber of Commerce Australia. City of Whitehorse Mayor Andrew Davenport also joined the festivities, commending the Chinese community's contributions to local cultural diversity. The Federation of Henan Chamber of Commerce Australia emphasized its commitment to continuing such cultural activities, makingChinese traditions thrivingoverseas and Henan's rich heritage reaching a broader global audience.
