Over 100 tons of fruits imported from the Southeast Asian countries were delivered to Zhengzhou city of Central China's Henan province by a China Railway Express cold-chain freight train recently, marking the resumption of the cold-chain train service after the first one linking Henan with Laos and Thailand launched by Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co Ltd in 2023. The over 4,000-kilometer route starts from Thailand and ends in Zhengzhou, passing Vientiane of Laos and Mohan of China. Now the best fruit season for durians, mangosteens and fresh young coconuts of the Southeast Asian countries, and these have successfully entered the Chinese market via this route.

近日，超100吨产自东南亚国家的进口水果通过中欧班列（郑州）东盟—郑州冷链班列运抵郑州。这是郑州国际陆港公司继2023年首趟中老泰冷链班列开行后，在2024年水果季重启的冷链班列。泰国—万象—磨憨—郑州，这条超过4000千米的贸易通道，目前已实现榴莲、山竹、椰青等多种水果的运输，为进口水果进入中国市场提供了便利。

Thailand's advantageous climate, nutrient-rich volcanic soil and optimal temperature and humidity produce high-quality durians, known for their size and sweetness. Durian requires stringent transportation conditions, only by sea and road in the past taking approximately 20 days. Since the launch of the China-Laos Railway, the logistics period has been greatly reduced. For instance, the whole journey from the departure city to Zhengzhou takes only 5-7 days now, enabling Thailand to export more durians with proper ripeness and better taste. The advanced refrigerated containers developed by Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co Ltd are precisely in temperature control, ensuring the timely and fresh delivery of fruits. Cold-chain logistics now has become a featured service, serving the trade among the Belt and Road countries.

泰国生态环境良好，温度湿度适宜，加之富含营养的火山土土壤，种出的榴莲品质极佳，个头饱满，甜香浓郁，产量更是全世界第一。榴莲对运输要求极高，曾经榴莲进口只能通过海运和公路，实效20天左右。自从中老铁路开通后，时效大大缩短。以运抵郑州为例，从发车到卸货仅需5～7天，可以采摘成熟度更高的榴莲进行运输，口感更佳。郑州国际陆港公司拥有自主研发的冷藏箱，能够实现从装箱、运输到卸货的全程精准温控，保障新鲜速达。冷链物流已成为服务“一带一路”共建国家贸易的特色品牌业务。

It is expected that more than 400 tons of ASEAN fruits will be delivered to Zhengzhou by trains every month, said a staff from Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co Ltd. The launch of the regular ASEAN-Zhengzhou cold-chain rail freight service has strengthened the imports and exports of agricultural products between Henan and the ASEAN countries, and deepened their economic and trade cooperation.
