In recent years, I returned to my hometown in Henan and have deeply felt the tremendous changes that have taken place there. What impressed me most is that now an increasing number of residents in my hometown have solar photovoltaic panels installed on their roof tops." On April 8th, Xia Xinde, Chairman of Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology Co., Ltd, who was invited to attend the Global Henan Entrepreneurs Conference 2024, said so.

Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology Co.,Ltd was established in 2001 and went public in 2015. It is a publicly listed company with 23 years of lithium battery technology accumulation and one of the earliest enterprises in China to engage in the energy storage field. The company supplies products such as batteries, PACKs, RACKs, outdoor energy storage cabinets, and container energy storage to many globally recognized brands. Its products are used in various fields including large-scale energy storage, commercial and industrial energy storage, residential energy storage, portable energy storage, and communication base station energy storage. The company has been deeply involved in the energy storage industry for 13 years, with its energy storage battery shipments ranking in the global top for several consecutive years. Specifically, in 2022, the company’s global energy storage battery shipments ranked in the top five, and in 2023, its shipments of energy storage systems for commercial and industrial use ranked in the top three in China.

Today, Penghui Power has become the largest lithium battery manufacturer in terms of production capacity in Henan Province, and it has successively been awarded titles such as "Gazelle Enterprise" and "Heading Goose Enterprise" in Henan Province, as well as being recognized as a "Champion in a Single Field Enterprise".

怀着投资家乡、建设家乡的初心与使命，夏信德在驻马店投资建厂，并于2012年成立了河南省鹏辉电源有限公司（以下简称鹏辉电源）。如今，鹏辉电源已成为河南省单体产能最大的锂电企业，先后获得河南省“瞪羚企业”“头雁企业”“单项冠军”企业等称号。

In addition to noticing the tremendous changes in the environment of his hometown, Xia Xinde has also felt that the investment environment in Henan has been improving in recent years, with increasingly prominent advantages in attracting investment. "Henan has a unique strategic advantage in terms of location, with convenient transportation; at the same time, its large population base ensures a continuous supply of industrial workers and a vast consumer market. Moreover, Henan is also making strides in developing a comprehensive supply chain for the upstream and downstream industries in the field of new energy batteries. All these factors are important considerations for companies looking for partnerships and investment opportunities for development," said Xia Xinde.

除了感受到家乡环境的巨变，夏信德也感受到河南近年来投资环境越来越好，招商优势日益显著。“河南有独特的区位优势，交通便利；同时，河南人口基数大，使其具备源源不断的产业工人和广阔的消费市场；此外，河南在新能源电池领域上下游配套产业链也初具规模。这些都是企业寻求合作，投资发展的重要考量。” 夏信德说。

In terms of the business environment, Xia Xinde has also noticed that Henan is gradually increasing its support for enterprises in the scientific research field. "As a technology-based enterprise, we have felt in recent years the multifaceted support from our hometown for corporate research and development, including financial support and tax reductions."

在营商环境方面，夏信德还切实感受到，河南在科研领域对企业的扶持力度逐渐加大。“我们作为科技型企业，近几年感受家乡对企业科研的多方支持，包括资金支持、税收减免等。”

Xia Xinde pointed out: "Henan is a vibrant and investment-friendly land with limitless business opportunities, and the investment practices of Penghui Energy here have proven this."

“河南是一片充满活力、商机无限的投资热土，鹏辉能源在河南的投资实践也证明了这一点。”夏信德称。

Talking about the next steps in Henan’s planning and development, Xia Xinde said, "On one hand, we are considering continuing to increase our investment in Zhumadian; on the other hand, we plan to establish a consumer battery industrial base. At the same time, we aim to bring in more upstream and downstream partners to develop together in Zhumadian and across the whole Henan province."
