Rain Water or Yushui (雨水) is the 2nd solar term of spring and the year. It falls on February 19 this year. "Good rain knows its time right; It will fall when comes spring." Rain Water signals the increase in rainfall and rise in temperature. Spring scenery is seen with the arrival of Rain Water: the river water refreezes, wild geese move from south to north, and trees and grass turn green again.

雨水是中国传统二十四节气中的第二个节气。“好雨知时节，当春乃发生。” 雨水的到来预示着降雨量的增加和气温的升高。随着雨水的到来，生机勃勃的春天景象开始繁茂：河水解冻，大雁北飞，草木新绿。

According to an old Chinese saying, the rainfall in spring is as precious as oil. Therefore, Rain Water is considered as a key period for irrigation when the day gets warmer and rainfall increases.

春雨对农作物的生长极为重要，中国古代谚语中有“春雨贵如油”的说法。因此，在天气渐暖、雨量增加的时候，雨水被认为是灌溉的关键时期。
