Security guard turns into knowledgeable guide at Xiuding Pagoda

Located in Qingliangshan Village, Leikou Township, Yindu District, Anyang City, the Xiuding Pagoda, also known as the "Tang Pagoda", is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Recently, Li Xuejun, a 52-year-old security guard at the Xiuding Pagoda gained a lot of attention online. In a video, Li Xuejun was pointing to the exquisite carved bricks on the pagoda, providing explanations to visitors, just like a guide.

Previously engaged in construction sites, catering and sales sectors, Li Xuejun became a security guard at the Xiuding Pagoda in 2021. During his work, he willingly shares his knowledge about the pagoda with visitors to the best of his ability. To enhance his understanding of the "Tang Pagoda", he dedicates his spare time to studying. He often consults the locals about legends and stories related to the pagoda and spends his evenings reading, browsing the internet, and talking with college teachers and students. Now, he basically knows everything about the past and present of the Xiuding Pagoda. Li Xuejun hopes that by sharing his knowledge, he can inspire more people to appreciate cultural relics, understand the historical and cultural significance behind them, and delve deeper into China's historical heritage.
