A young woman diagnosed with thyroid cancer found both love and a cure in her hometown of Zhengzhou, Henan province.

After receiving a life-altering diagnosis, the woman planned to leave her boyfriend without explanation, but his unwavering support changed everything.

The woman, who remains anonymous, discovered a thyroid nodule during a routine checkup. Subsequent tests confirmed papillary thyroid carcinoma, the most common type of thyroid cancer. Feeling overwhelmed by the news, she decided to leave her boyfriend, fearing he wouldn't accept her condition.

However, fate intervened. He intercepted her at the train station as she was about to depart at night, prompting her to reveal the truth. Remarkably, her boyfriend didn't flinch. Instead, he proposed marriage, expressing his commitment to stand by her side through her treatment.

Doctor Qian Yuejun, a thyroid surgeon at Zhengzhou Central Hospital, performed a successful minimally invasive surgery that lasted for one and a half hours. Three days later, the woman was discharged from the hospital, ready to face her future with her loving fiance.

The couple recently married, and doctor Qian was honored to be invited to their wedding. Their story serves as a powerful testament to the strength of love and the importance of early detection and treatment for thyroid cancer.
