　　Chinese and international journalists, online celebrities visit Lingshui Li'An International Education Innovation Pilot Zone

Over 60 Chinese and international journalists and online celebrities participating in the nearly week-long tour of Hainan for representatives of international media organizations and social media personalities visited Lingshui Li'An International Education Innovation Pilot Zone in Southeast China's Hainan province on November 28 to learn the development of "Hainan International Education Innovation Island".

　　Lingshui Li'An International Education Innovation Pilot Zone

Lingshui Li'An International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, co-built by the Ministry of Education of China and Hainan, is one of the 13 key parks built in Hainan Free Trade Port and is also an important driver for the construction of "Hainan International Education Innovation Island". It was approved for construction in June 2020. With a core mission of educational opening up, the pilot zone fully complies with the FTP's new educational requirements. Following national strategy and integrating with Hainan's four leading industries (tourism, tropical agriculture, the modern serviceindustry, and high-tech), Li'an is creating a distinctive and outstanding professional educational system that highlights internationalization and openness, introduces high-quality domestic and international educational resources, creates a new benchmark for the open development of education in China, and provides a testing ground for the reform and innovation of education in China. As a centralized display window for educational exchanges and mutual learning between China and other countries, this grouping of world-class educational facilities (featuring both China-foreign cooperative projects and independently-operated campuses belonging to famous foreign universities) is a vital platform both for implementing the "domestic provision of international education" model and for creating the "Study in Hainan = Study Abroad" brand.

陵水黎安国际教育创新试验区由教育部和海南省共建，是海南自贸港建设的13个重点园区之一，是推动“海南国际教育创新岛”建设的重要平台，于2020年6月正式挂牌成立。试验区以教育对外开放为核心使命，对标海南自由贸易港对教育的新要求，紧扣国家战略和海南四大主导产业，打造特色鲜明、优势突出的学科专业体系，突出国际化和开放型特色，引进境内外优质教育资源，致力于打造中国教育开放发展的新标杆，中国教育改革创新的试验田，中外教育交流互鉴的集中展示窗口，承接国际教育消费回流的重要平台，成为国际一流教育园区的卓越创新典范，打造以中外合作办学和境外高校独立办学为特色的“学在海南=留学国外”品牌。

The pilot zone's construction includes:

·Independently run high-level international universities and vocational colleges in the fields of science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine

·Jointly organized China-foreign cooperative education institutions and projects run by famous domestic and international universities

·Headquarters, regional headquarters, and branch offices of international educational organizations and institutions

·Giving full play to the talent-gathering advantages of the "education +" model, Li'an introduces scientific research institutions and enterprises, promotes the integration of enterprises' resources with vocational schools and universities' resources; and helps incubate, transform, and industrialize scientific and technological achievements.

试验区的建设内容主要包含以下四方面：境外理工农医类高水平大学、职业院校独立办学；国内外知名高校举办中外合作办学机构/项目；国际教育组织和教育机构立总部、区域总部、分支机构等；充分发控“教育+”的人才集聚优势，引进科研机构和企业，推进校企合作、产教融合，科技成果孵化转化和产业化。（杨佳欣）
