This year marks the 10th anniversary of the inception of China's "Belt and Road" initiative (BRI). Henan International Communication Center (HICC) and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Henan Province give special coverage "Through Ambassadors' Eyes" to present China and Henan from the perspective of Ambassadors to China.
Here's the fourth episode: "Irish Ambassador to China: women's role significant in construction of Red Flag Canal".
After giving a tour in the Red Flag Canal site, the Irish Ambassador to China Ann Derwin was quite impressed with the whole project and the story behind it. She was very touched by women’s role in the construction and the photographs displayed in the exhibition hall. It was incredible to accomplish such a marvelous "Man-made River from Heaven”with only hands, she thinks.

爱尔兰驻华大使安黛文在参观红旗渠博物馆和景区时不禁连连感叹，在当时那个年代，人们仅用双手就凿出这样一条“人工天河”，实属奇迹。她被展馆中挂着的一幅幅照片深深感动，更在其中看到了女性在整个建设过程中做出的突出贡献。
