Henan museums receive 3.054 mln visits during eight-day holiday

河南省博物馆观众超过300万人次

Museums across Henan received approximately 3.054 million visits during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, which ended on Friday, according to data released by the Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage on Sunday.

During the period, several museums in the province put on 4,556 online and offline cultural events, which welcomed about 6.552 million tourists, sparking a surge in consumer engagement and enthusiasm.

假期出行，越来越多公众将博物馆、纪念馆设为目的地。10月8日，记者从省文物局获悉，中秋、国庆8天假期，全省博物馆、纪念馆共计进馆观众305.4万人次，举办惠民文化活动（线上+线下）4556场、惠民文化活动参与总人次（线上+线下）655.2万人次。

During the holiday, Henan Museum, the largest artifact collection, protection, research, and exhibition center in central China, welcomed an average daily attendance of 15,000 people, with 16,887 people at its peak. This represents a 30 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022. It also extended its opening hours to 7:00 p.m. to meet public needs.

据统计，假期期间，河南博物院观众参观量平均每天15000人，最高的一天达到16887人，比去年同期增加了30%。为满足公众的参观需求，河南博物院每天延时开放两个小时。
