Henan to hold 2023 World Great Rivers Civilizations Forum

2023世界大河文明论坛要来河南了

On Sept. 11, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China held a press conference to introduce that the 2023 World Great Rivers Civilizations Forum will be held in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Central China's Henan Province, from Sept. 16 to 18.

金秋时节，老家河南，黄河之滨，盛会有约。9月11日，文化和旅游部召开新闻发布会，宣布2023世界大河文明论坛（中国·郑州）将于9月16日至18日在郑州举办。

With the theme of "Mutual Learning Among Civilizations, and Jointly Building a Shared Future," the forum is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the People's Daily, the National Cultural Heritage Administration, and the Henan Provincial People's Government. It aims to deepen exchanges and mutual learning with other civilizations and build the modern civilization of the Chinese nation, through building a bridge for cultural exchange in the world's major river basins, as well as showcasing achievements of ecological conservation and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin, the civilizations in the world's major river basins, and significant achievements in the projects to trace the origins of Chinese.

此次论坛以“文明交流互鉴 发展共创未来”为主题，由文化和旅游部、人民日报社、国家文物局、河南省人民政府共同主办，搭建世界大河流域文明交流平台，展示黄河流域生态保护和高质量发展成就、世界大河流域文明成果、中华文明探源重要成果等，助力深化文明交流互鉴、建设中华民族现代文明。

Representatives of countries that are home to world-renowned river basins, foreign diplomats to China, as well as experts and scholars in fields such as civilization development research and protection and utilization of cultural heritage, will gather Zhengzhou to explore how to protect, inherit, and promote the Great Rivers Civilizations better.

论坛邀请了世界重要大河流域国家代表、驻华使节、专家学者，黄河流域沿线省（区）领导和相关部门负责同志及文明发展研究、文化遗产保护利用等领域的专家和学者参会，共同探讨如何更好实现对大河文明的保护、传承和弘扬。

The forum will be held online and offline, run one forum, sub-forums, and round-table sessions, and hold city tours, the Yellow River month, and Chinese and foreign journalists travel to the Yellow River. Moreover, the Zhengzhou Declaration of the Great Rivers Civilizations Forum will be issued during the event. These will showcase the splendid and everlasting Yellow River Culture to the world.

据悉，此次论坛采取线上线下相结合的方式，把聚而论道和实地体验相融合，举行主论坛、分论坛、圆桌会议、体验考察、黄河文化月、中外媒体黄河行等各类活动，发布《世界大河文明论坛·郑州宣言》，通过专题报告、交流讨论、成果发布、实地考察、文化展演等不同方式，力争多侧面、多角度、全景式展现大河之美、文化之美、文明之美。
