Multiple elements can be used to describe Henan. But how can we present the beauty of the fertile land most vividly?
2023年6月21日，河南国际传播中心在郑州揭牌。河南国际传播中心是由河南省委宣传部指导、河南日报社运营管理的国际传播专业媒体机构，致力于发展成为世界读懂河南的“新窗口”、河南外文信息的“数据库”、全省对外传播的“扬声器”、服务海外用户的“好帮手”。
On June 21, 2023, Henan International Communication Center(HICC), a professional media organization, was unveiled in Zhengzhou City, Central China's Henan. It is guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee and is operated by Henan Daily. It is committed to developing a "new window" for the world to understand Henan, a "database" for foreign news about Henan, a "speaker" for Henan stories, and a "good helper" for overseas users.
为提高河南的国际形象和影响力，集中展示河南的发展活力、通达交通、厚重文化和锦绣山河，体现河南联接古今、融通中外的综合魅力，即日起至8月4日，由中共河南省委宣传部、中共河南省委网信办指导，河南日报社主办，河南国际传播中心、顶端新闻承办的河南国际传播中心LOGO设计征集大赛，将面向全球公开征集，国内外专业设计机构、设计师、高等院校艺术设计类专业师生以及设计爱好者均可参与，让世界“中”意河南。（文末附征集启事）
HICC marks the beginning of a new phase for Henan's international communication, which will not only be the pacesetter of telling Henan's stories well, but also a solid contributor to presenting a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic view of Henan, including Henan's development potential, transportation networks, diverse culture, and splendid land, etc. We cordially invite creative talents to participate in our HICC Logo Design Competition and submit designs for a new logo to celebrate this important milestone.
出彩河南，自有其独特的气质内涵，也有她专属的时代韵律。一个LOGO的设计可能并不复杂，甚至只是一瞬间的灵感，却浓缩着千百年的河南故事，代表着这片土地带给人们的河南印象。此次面向全球征集LOGO设计，就是为了从中原大地的厚重年轮中，在当代河南蓬勃发展的脉动里，从黄河儿女代代相传的情感记忆深处，提取出独属于河南的符号标识。
Wonderful Henan boasts her unique connotation and plays a particular rhythm of times. The design of a LOGO may be simple, sometimes just from instant inspiration. Still, it condenses the story of Henan for thousands of years. This competition is hosted to "extract" the unique symbol of Henan from its historical development, in the pulse of the vigorous growth of contemporary Henan, and from the deep emotion and memory passed down from generation to generation by the offspring of the Yellow River.
形象标识设计要主题突出、寓意深刻、便于识别、记忆和传播，富于视觉感染力和冲击力，符合国际传播的受众需求，充分彰显河南的文化底蕴和发展活力。设计内容选择要有国际视野，可融入但不限于黄河、黄帝、古都、豫剧、甲骨文、太极、少林、陶瓷、姓氏等具有代表性的河南文化元素。
The design should be prominent in theme and profound in meaning, which helps identify, remember, and disseminate. It should be visually attractive to foreigners and demonstrate Henan's cultural heritage and development potential. The design content should be selected from a global perspective, which may incorporate but not be limited to representative cultural elements such as the Yellow River, Yellow Emperor, ancient capitals, Henan Opera, oracle bone inscriptions, Tai Chi, Shaolin, ceramics, and surnames, etc.
本次征集坚持“公开、公平、公正”的原则，采取初评、网络投票、专家评审、终评的方式进行，初评作品将在官方媒体平台顶端新闻客户端（手机应用市场搜索“顶端新闻”）、hihenan网站（www.hihenan.cn）发起网络评选。大赛设置优胜奖、入围奖、人气奖及优秀组织奖，优胜奖可获得人民币100000元奖金，并颁发获奖证书。
The competition adheres to the principle of "transparency, fairness, impartiality" and includes four procedures: preliminary evaluation, online voting, expert review, and final evaluation. The entries passing the preliminary evaluation will be evaluated online on the official application of Dingduan News (searching for "顶端新闻" in mobile application markets) and the HiHenan website (www.hihenan.cn). There is one first prize, ten-second prizes, 20 third prizes, and several excellent organization prizes in the competition. The first prize will receive an award of 100,000 RMB and a certificate.
五千年文化中原，八百里锦绣河南，“英雄帖”已发出，欢迎五湖四海的广大设计师积极参与，方寸之间描绘出河南气质，让河南“豫”满全球！
A five-thousand-year history has created the splendid Henan. "Looking for heroes", we welcome designers from all over the world to participate actively. Let's work together to showcase the image of Henan as a trustworthy, loveable, and admirable land.
