2023“中国寻根之旅”夏令营-遇见河南·印象营圆满闭营

"When it comes to China, the words that may occur to us are rich in resources, vastness, and beauty. But why does China have these characteristics?" With the question, 45 overseas Chinese teenagers from Australia, the United States, Spain, Belgium, and Germany set foot in Central China's Henan Province, visiting Zhengzhou, Xinzheng, Dengfeng, Kaifeng, and other places, appreciate the richness of Chinese civilization and the time-honored culture of the Central Plains.

“提到中国，脑中总能重复着耳熟能详的词汇：物产丰富、博大精深、美丽富饶。但是，我们亲爱的祖国，到底是怎样的博大，怎样的精深？怎样的美丽，怎样的富饶？”带着这样疑问，7月4日-13日，45名来自澳大利亚、美国、西班牙、比利时、德国的华裔青少年，踏上“老家河南”的热土，探访郑州、新郑、登封、开封等地，领略博大精深的中华文明和源远流长的中原文化。

These teenagers have gained a lot during their 10-day journey to find their roots in Henan. Zhang Yiyuan, a Belgian camper representative, said that overseas Chinese teenagers have the mission of introducing the Yellow River stories and the brilliance of Chinese culture to the world. She will bring all her energies to bear upon the task.

10天的寻根之旅，来豫少年感动满满、收获颇丰。比利时营员代表张艺缘激动感慨，“我深刻认识到我们海外华侨华裔青少年们肩负着传播黄河故事、推动中华文化绽放光彩的使命。我一定会把璀璨的中华文化带到世界各地！”

"I deeply understood for the first time that the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is not only a slogan but also the responsibility every Chinese should take up," said Wang Yu, the leader of overseas Chinese teenagers from Australia.

澳大利亚的领队王钰是一位地道的河南人，此番归来，亲眼目睹家乡日新月异的发展成就，深情讲述了自己对故土的情谊:“我第一次深深理解了中华民族伟大复兴梦，不只是一个口号一种情怀，更是每一个炎黄子孙华夏儿女的责任和担当。”

This visit to Henan will be an unforgettable memory for these teenagers and make them fall in love with Chinese culture and the Central Plains better.

本次河南之旅的行程设计别具匠心，成为来豫海外华裔青少年生命中难忘的闪光时刻，点燃了大家探索中华文明、挚爱中原大地的青春激情。

Into blazing flame, we united; into shining stars, we parted. At the closing ceremony, the campers performed "Shaolin Kung Fu," the solo dance "Daughters Born on the Yellow Earth," poetry recitation "Youths' China," flute show "Jasmine Flower," dance "I'm the Best" and other programs. They expressed their love for the Central Plains culture and their determination to promote Chinese culture with their spirit and actions.

聚是一团火，散作满天星。在2023“中国寻根之旅”夏令营-遇见河南·印象营的闭营仪式上，营员们精心准备了精彩纷呈的节目，表演了《少林功夫》、独舞《黄土地上的女儿》、诗朗诵《少年中国》、长笛《茉莉花》、舞蹈《我最牛》等，用朝气蓬勃的精神风貌和实际行动表达自己对中原文化的热爱和弘扬中华文化的决心。

Liu Hesheng, the secondary inspector of the Henan Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, said that he hopes everyone can share the "Chinese story" and "Yellow River story" they have learned in the past ten days with their families, friends, and classmates so that the world can better understand China and get closer to Henan.

河南省侨联二级巡视员刘合生说，希望大家能把耳濡目染的“中国故事”、“黄河故事”讲给亲人、朋友和同学听，让世界更好地了解中国、亲近河南。
