7月7日，河南省政府新闻办召开新闻发布会，公布了郑州航空港2023 “空中丝路”城市设计暨创意建筑国际竞赛有关情况。

Qin Xindong, director in charge of the construction work of the Central Plains Medical Science City in ZAEZ, introduced the city's urban design.

会上，郑州航空港区中原医学科学城指挥部办公室主任秦新东，介绍了中原医学科学城的城市设计。

Qin said that Henan recently proposed rebuilding the Henan Institute of Medical Sciences and planned to build the Central Plains Medical Science City and an industrial cluster of the biomedical health industry in ZAEZ,

秦新东介绍，近期，河南省委、省政府提出重建省医学科学院，布局在郑州航空港区，同时，打造中原医学科学城和生物医药大健康产业集群。

These projects bring a rare opportunity for ZAEZ to integrate basic research, clinical application transformation, and industrial development. And they will cover an area of around 40 square kilometers within the region of ZAEZ Shuanghehu Central Park.

“一院一城一产业集群”的打造，对郑州航空港区来说机遇难得，它将基础研究、临床应用转化和产业发展相结合。“一院一城一产业集群”规划面积约40平方公里，位于河南郑州航空港双鹤湖区域内。

ZAEZ has a sound industrial foundation. Seven major platforms have been established, including a new drug screening and testing platform, drug evaluation platform (animal room), macromolecular drug CDMO platform, small molecular API& formulation CDMO platform, gene-based therapies CDMO platform, etc. Besides, several medical and pharmaceutical enterprises have arisen, such as Zhengzhou Linkong Biomedical Industrial Park (Chuangtai Bio) and Zhengzhou Demai Pharmaceutical Industrial Park (Auto Bio). Apart from those mentioned above, this area also provides convenient traffic conditions and quality infrastructure.

在医药科研和产业生态方面，郑州航空港已经具备一定优势。产业基础良好。目前，已建成新药筛查检测平台、药物评价平台（动物房）、大分子药物CDMO平台、小分子API&制剂CDMO平台、基因治疗CDMO平台等七大服务平台，还相继建成了郑州临空生物医药产业园（创泰生物）、郑州德迈药业产业园（安图生物）等部分医药企业。此外，还拥有交通条件便利，设施配套完善等优势。

Qin added that the next step is for the ZAEZ to make efforts, focusing on the goal of "One Institute, One City, and One Industrial Cluster," to launch international competitive bidding and to prepare high-level plans and related special plans for the integrated development of Henan Institute of Medical Sciences and Central Plains Medical Science City.

秦新东介绍，下一步，郑州航空港区将从多个方面发力，围绕“一院一城一产业集群”目标，启动国际竞赛招标，编制河南省医学科学院和中原医学科学城融合发展的高水平规划和相关专项方案。

In addition, they will adhere to the principle of "phased construction under one plan" to work faster for improved urban supporting facilities and build "urban functional units" conducive to introducing innovative resources to meet various public needs. Besides, they will work hard to make a "new urban commercial space," push forward the planning and construction of supporting facilities, and actively provide quality service.

此外，坚持“一次规划、分期建设”原则，加快完善中原医学科技城城市配套服务，打造有利于创新资源导入的“城市功能单元”，满足“吃住行、游购娱、教医保”等各类需求，打造中原医学科学城区域“新型城市商业空间”，强力推进商业服务配套设施规划建设，积极提供优质服务保障。

In the future, the Central Plains Medical Science City and the Henan Institute of Medical Sciences will jointly build a shared home where people enjoy living, working, researching, and innovating.

未来，中原医学科学城将与河南省医学科学院共融共生，将建立高品质综合服务的配套体系，打造宜居宜业、宜研宜创的科学家园。
