On July 7, the Information Office of Henan Provincial People's Government held a news briefing to introduce the 2023 Air Silk Road Urban Design& International Creative Architecture Competition for Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (ZAEZ) to the public and answer questions from journalists.

7月7日，河南省政府新闻办举行新闻发布会，重点介绍郑州航空港2023 “空中丝路”城市设计暨创意建筑国际竞赛有关情况。

According to the competition plan, an International Culture Exchange Center (ICEC) will be built at the core of the International Eco-City in ZAEZ Garden Expo Park, and architectural design plans will be solicited globally, said Liu Huakai, Chairman of ZAEZ Garden Expo Park Management Co., Ltd.

郑州航空港园博园经营管理有限公司董事长刘华凯在回答本报记者提问时表示，按照规划，在郑州航空港园博国际生态城的核心位置，建设一座国际文化交流中心，现面向全球征集建筑设计方案。

Liu added that the ICEC integrates multiple functions such as creative cultural offices, cultural exchange conferences, public cultural activity spaces, and cultural experience halls, creating a globally influential source of cultural exchange and innovation, a leading derivative for emerging industries, and a front-runner of the international cultural and artistic exhibition.

刘华凯介绍，国际文化交流中心是集文化创意办公、文化交流会议、公共文化活动空间、文化体验馆等多元功能于一体，打造具有全球影响力的文化交流创新策源地、具有前沿引领性的新兴产业衍生地和国际化文化艺术展示高地。

Moreover, the ICEC will also be built into a large complex integrating conferences, exhibitions, hotels, banquets, and offices. The total construction area is about 65,000 square meters, of which the first phase has a construction area of about 15,000 square meters. The functions and supporting facilities will be designed according to international high-star hotels.

同时，国际文化交流中心还将建设成为一个集会议、展览、酒店、宴会、办公于一体的大型综合性体，总建筑面积约6.5万平方米，其中1期建筑面积约1.5万平方米，功能配套参照国际高星级酒店标准进行设计。

The ICEC will be involved in the urban renewal and location development, consistently showing the high potential and culture of ZAEZ and stimulating local green development and cultural vitality, enhancing industrial value and urban attractiveness, driving the overall improvement of regional attraction, influence, and innovative value.

此外，国际文化交流中心将纳入到城市更新、区位发展的全球化思考脉络之中，持续地对外展示航空港区的强大潜力和文化吸引力，成为持续激发航空港区绿色发展与人文活力的催化剂，提升产业价值和城市吸引力，带动区域吸引力、影响力和创新价值的整体提升。
